Where classroom theory meets village reality. ODP hosts students, researchers and delegations from across India and abroad, and turns rural fieldwork into shared, structured knowledge.

ODP works as a learning ground for people studying social development — students, faculty, government partners and institutions alike. We open our project sites and community relationships to structured academic engagement, so that classroom frameworks get tested against the realities of rural Karnataka. Our fieldwork centres on six themes:

ODP is a recurring destination for cross-cultural research and rural immersion programmes from partner universities abroad.
