- Climate Action at Home: Motivating households to adopt Biogas plants and fuel-efficient Chulaas to curb deforestation, while significantly reducing the domestic drudgery faced by women and children.
- Sustainable Illumination: Promoting solar-powered lighting to conserve precious grid electricity and enhance the quality of life in underserved regions.

Spotlight on Goruru & Kalavadi: In the Mysuru district, ODP has successfully implemented community-wide Biogas transitions, serving average households of five members and creating a blueprint for rural energy independence.
Transformative Outcomes
Our ARE initiatives have transcended mere technical installation, creating profound socio-economic shifts:
- Forest Conservation: By introducing fuel-efficient stoves and biogas, over 8,600 families have significantly reduced their reliance on firewood, preserving thousands of acres of green cover.
- Energy Efficiency: Through the adoption of 8,220 LED/CFL bulbs, we have achieved a daily saving of 2,142.5 units of electricity, easing the burden on the national grid.
- Agricultural Productivity: Farmers now utilize solar lanterns for safe nighttime irrigation, allowing for better water management and increased crop yields.
- Health & Wellbeing: The elimination of indoor smoke has created cleaner kitchen environments, while the “2+1 Chula” system ensures families have a constant supply of hygienic hot water for drinking and sanitation.
- Education & Equity: Solar interventions in off-grid hamlets have empowered children with the light needed to study, ensuring that a lack of infrastructure does not limit their future potential.
