The Sustainable Agriculture Program (SAP) is not just about farming; it is about building a self-sustaining ecosystem.

1. Infrastructure for Organic Transition

To reduce dependence on synthetic inputs, we have equipped our farming community with the tools necessary for bio-integration:

  • 459 NADEP Compost Pits established for high-quality bio-manure production.
  • 309 Bio-Pesticide Units launched to promote natural pest management.
  • 28 Precision Sprayers distributed to enhance application efficiency.

2. Livestock Optimization & Dairy Growth

Our fodder initiatives have created a circular economy between the land and the livestock.

  • Daily Harvest: Farmers are now harvesting 0 to 1.5 tons of high-nutrient fodder grass daily.
  • Yield Enhancement: This improved nutrition has led to a consistent increase in milk production of 500ml to 1 liter per animal daily, translating directly into increased household revenue.

3. Scaling through Community Leadership

Success breeds imitation. Our “Model Farmer” initiative has sparked a grassroots movement:

  • 64 Early Adopters have successfully integrated fodder root slips from our model plots into their own acreage.
  • Voluntary Expansion: We are witnessing a surge in proactive community participation, with farmers now coming forward voluntarily to adopt and cultivate sustainable fodder varieties.
