We spent an incredibly profound day in the presence of Most Rev. Fr. Dr. Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Mysore and President of ODP. This wasn’t just a formal visit; it was a deep dive into the soul of social development. Having dedicated years to raw, on-the-ground field work, the Bishop shared invaluable life lessons, addressing the intricate realities, challenges, and the profound importance of authentic social work. His experiential wisdom is vast—honestly, even a year wouldn’t suffice to absorb all his learning!
Adding to the gravity of the session, our Director, Fr. Tenny Kurian, spoke passionately about the vital role of transparency and ethical governance in creating sustainable change.
