World environment day was conducted on 5^thJune 2019 at ODP campus on the theme. “VAYU MALINYA TADE, SHUDA GALIYA KADE NADE”. Guest of honor was –Mr. Madegowda. D – Former MLC, Dr. Prakash- Senior field superintendent, Naganahalli organic farming research center, Dr. T.S Harsha- HOD of Environment dept., KSOU, Mysuru, Mr. Mohan  Monteiro-Board member,              Mrs. Kamalamma- President –Mysuru District Women and  Child welfare committee, Rev. Stany D Almeda- Director, ODP, Mysuru, Brother Rudolf – System Manger-ODP,  Mr. Anis -President-GVSSSMO, Mrs. Vijayamba- President- Mahilodaya Mahila Okkuta.

Madegowda D – Former MLC along with guests inaugurated the program by planting sapling in the campus. Mr. Madegowda in his inaugural speech address the gathering called upon the city dwellers to contribute their mite for conservation of environment, prevent polluting airand water. The main speakers addressed the audience on the need to protect the environment, organic farming, to adopt ecofriendly life style and to plant saplings in all the possible places. Around 550 men and women participated in the program.
