Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Employment Program

Aim:

To promote self-reliance and secure livelihoods for the poor, marginalized and the unemployed through Income Generating Programs and skill training.

PEEP was introduced in ODP to train and facilitate employment skills and to promote entrepreneurship for marketing the products of women groups and watershed committees. Skills’ training is imparted to school dropouts, widows, unemployed and handicapped to enable them to obtain gainful employment or be self-employed on the completion of the training. PEEP has 4 training-cum-production units in the ODP campus where women and youth are employed:

More than 9500 persons are benefited from skill training and 75% of the trainees are gainfully employed.

Till date more than 1620 families have been provided with IGPs under this project.
